How do I sign in?
Enter your email and we send you a 6 digit code, or use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. There is no password to remember.
My code never arrived
Check your spam or junk folder and any Promotions tab, and make sure the email address is spelled right. Codes expire after a short time, so if yours is old, send a new one and use the latest email. Still stuck? Email support@chirpsports.app.
Alerts and notifications
How do I turn alerts on or off?
In the app, open You, then Notifications. Turn on alerts there, then pick what you want: game start, scoring plays, finals, player of the game, games you open, big moments, pick results, social and the morning slate. Quiet hours hold alerts overnight. If alerts are off in your iPhone Settings, the same screen has a button that takes you there.
What are Live Activities?
A Live Activity keeps a game's score on your iPhone's sleep screen and in the Dynamic Island while it is on. Turn on Start for my teams under You, then Notifications, and one starts for each of your teams' games. You can end one any time by swiping it away.
Following teams
How do I follow a team?
Tap the star next to a team on any game. You can also pick teams when you first open the app. Your teams show first on scores and get alerts. Tap the star again to unfollow.
Chirp Rating
What is the Chirp Rating?
A score from 3 to 10 for each player's game, added after every final. 6.5 is an ordinary game for a typical starter, 7.5 a strong one, 8.5 and up a great one, and 10 almost never happens. Each sport has its own inputs: basketball builds on Game Score, hockey counts goals, assists, shots and more, baseball rates hitters and pitchers separately, and football rates each position on its own box score. In the app, tap any rating to see how it works for that sport. Season rankings are on pages like NBA ratings.
Deserved to win
What does Deserved to win mean?
On hockey and soccer games, every shot gets a chance of going in from where and how it was taken (expected goals, or xG). We replay the game 10,000 times with average goaltending, and the bar shows how often each side wins those replays: who made the stronger chances, not who got the bounces.
Picks and records
How do picks work?
Picks are free. Call who wins a game before it starts. Correct calls go on your record as wins, misses as losses, and a run of correct calls builds your streak. Your record shows on your profile, and the best pickers climb the weekly leaderboard.
Reporting and blocking
How do I report or block someone in chat?
In the app, press and hold their message, then choose Report (spam, abuse, hate or other) or Block. You can also block someone from their profile. Once you block someone, their messages, takes and replies disappear for you, and they can't reply to you or mention you. Our team reviews every report.
Your account
How do I delete my account?
You can do it yourself. In the app, open You, then Delete account. On the website, open your account menu at the top right and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, posts, chirps, reactions and picks, and it can't be undone.
