Barcelona vs Chelsea, 1st Leg

   FULL TIME: Chelsea hold out for a 2-1 loss after being completely dominated for 90 minutes at the Nou Camp. Drogba's sending off was the turning point, but Mourinho should be content enough.

   Lopez tries again from distance, but Terry blocks. A deep cross from Deco finds Eto'o unmarked at the back post, but his header is poor; well wide.

   Carvalho makes a risky challenge inside his own box, but just gets the ball before the man. Iniesta fires in yet another powerful drive, Cech parries but the ball falls at the feet of a Chelsea man.

   SUB: Smertin on, Thiago off. Thiago takes an age to leave the field, and is escorted half the way by Referee Frisk. Perhaps he was apologising for his poor decision to second Drogba off.

   Three minutes of injury time will be played. Can Chelsea hold out? I think that the English club will be delighted with this result, considering the second-half barrage they've faced.

   Iniesta sends over a dangerous cross; this time Carvalho decides to deal with the ball and he puts it out for a throw in. Thiago goes down with cramp.

   Yet another low, accurate shot from distance is well saved by Cech. I've lost count of the amount of shots Barcelona have had in this second period. Barca win a corner when Ferreira takes no chances and puts a dangerous cross out of play.

   Chelsea's Ferreira and Johnson double up on Ronaldinho after he is found in some space by Xavi. Their strength and determination win the visitors a goal-kick.

   Xavi cracks in a hard, low shot from 25 yards, but Cech gets down well to his right to save inside the post.

    Terry makes another vital, brilliant block after Van Bronkhorst clips in a dangerous cross towards Eto'o. The giant English defender goes down with a touch of cramp, but is up again soon after.

    Maxi Lopez has been a real handful since he came on. He's playing up front with Eto'o and really putting himself about.

    Ronaldinho finds more space on the left. His whipped ball in to the box falls at the feet of Lopez, but the substitute can't quite direct the cross past Cech.

    Another Terry block, this time from a Xavi shot. Ronaldinho collects a loose ball and fires in a 20-yard shot, which Thiago deflects for a corner.

    Some quite mesmerising skills on the left wing from Ronaldinho creates a little space for the Brazilian. His cross eventually finds Deco, but Terry throws his head in front of the Barca man's shot and Chelsea clear.

    Belletti tries twice to get past Gallas, but the big French defender stands firm and the ball runs out for a goal kick.

    Great defensive work from Makalele as he clears the danger. Gudjohnson has come on for Damien Duff, who was beginning to look a little tired.

    A Chelsea striker has just scored in the Champions League - unfortunately it was Hernan Crespo, on loan at AC Milan, against Manchester United at Old Trafford...

    Chelsea simply have to lash everything down now; Barcelona are throwing everything at the visitors. More safe hands from Cech to collect a long shot.

    GOAL! Maxi Lopez's mis-hit shot is rammed home by Eto'o. Carvalho should have done far better; he had the chance to cut out the shot/cross, but he allowed it to run across him.

    Johnson breaks for Chelsea but his through ball to Duff is too hard. Earlier, Cech reacts well to palm a dangerous cross away from the predatory Eto'o.

    Deco is becoming a major player; he is linking everything up for the home side, sliding through balls in to space for rampaging Barca players to latch on to.

    SUB: Cole off, Johnson on. A defensive substitution from Mourinho, brining Johnson on to try and defend the right side of Chelsea's back four.

    Glen Johnson is stripping off his tracksuit on the Chelsea bench. The crowd are really behind the home side now.

    Barcelona look a different side now. More crisp passing around the box works a little space for Iniesta, but his low shot is straight at Cech.

    Maxi Lopez's first goal for the club has brought Barcelona right back in to the tie. They'll be pushing hard for a couple more before the final whistle.
