   Senderos nearly let in Pizarro but Lehmann stops him as a goal looked certain. Now Pires commits a free kick foul.

   Ball played into the box. Toure attacks it and Kahn knocks behind. But two attempts to get the ball in by Van Persie are in vain. Bergkamp lashes across goal. Toure too slow to react. Goal-kick. Bayern breathe.

   But the passes are circumspect rather than attacking. Ze Roberto weaves away but the ball is hacked clear.

    Ballack suddenly drags himself from the midfield mire. Lovely skill and a great hit but Lehmann is equal to the task. That could have been curtains.

    The action has halted somewhat. Getting bitty as we head into the latter stages. It's a really tight. Bayern have been holding possession and holding off the threat of Arsenal's attack.
