Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur

1. This is the fourth time at the Britannia there has been a 2-1 scoreline between Spurs and Stoke. Spurs now lead the way with wins, 3 to Stoke's 2.

2. Stoke do not move with that result but with their safety all but assured given their superior goal difference, this result is pretty meaningless.

3. And that is that. Spurs have done their bit and it's down to Arsenal against Wigan on Tuesday. Spurs move in to 4th place and two points clear of Arsenal with the Gunners having a game in hand.

   Bale breaks and tries to go alone when he should have squared to Sigurdsson. Spurs get the corner and then the ref blows for full-time.

   Vertonghen is fooled by Jerome who gets past the full back. He crosses deep to Wilson but he completely mistimes the header and it bounces before harmlessly going high and wide of Lloris' goal.

   Stoke work the ball down the right with Wilkinson and Nzonzi but Sigurdsson blocks the cross and Spurs clear.

   Huddlestone plays it line to Adebayor who flicks on to Bale. Shawcross beats him to the ball but the pressure applied forces him to knock it for a throw.

   Four minutes of added time at the Britannia. Stoke pump it long looking for that equaliser.

   Dembele passes o Adebayor who plays it back to Vertonghen. He wins a throw from Whitehead on the halfway line.

    Defoe works the ball down the line and holds off the defender to eat up some more seconds.

    Spurs really wasting time now. The ball comes to Lloris who controls and waits for Jerome to come at him before picking the ball up. Britannia crowd not enjoying this.
