Edin Dzeko named the man of the match. He worked hard and the game lacked a true star. Barton, perhaps, can feel slightly hard done by, though.

The best start they've ever had to a Premier League season, but it'll be interesting to see if they have the staying power and know-how to remain top as the season progresses.
City remain five points clear at the top, with Manchester United behind them in second.

Neil Warnock certainly didn't look too disheartened at the final whistle. A good manager, he'll admire his side's spirit today.
City not at their best today but, as is always said, it's the sign of a good side to continue to win when not playing well. QPR, meanwhile, also impressed and showed exactly why they should be confident of avoiding relegation. They'll be stronger still when DJ Campbell returns.
