Liverpool vs Arsenal

All in all, an exciting game and a fair result.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was livid at the final whistle after Liverpool's equaliser came from a dubious corner...but remember Jeffer's dive for penalty to deny the Reds at Highbury?

Liverpool came out to attack and despite being hit by two sucker punches on the counter attack they have taken a point from their clash with the champions.

That's it! the final whistle goes. Arsenal are held to a single point and the title race is still wide open.

....The England midfielder scuffs his shot. Owen sticks out a foot to turn it goalwards and the ball flashes wide of Seaman's lefthand post.

Liverpool are level and have a freekick on the right. Riise rolls it to the edge of the box for Gerrard to strike.....

.....Heskey rises at the back post and powerfully heads the ball down and past a sprawling Seaman. GOAL!!!!!!

The ball comes in from the corner and is flicked out to the right. Gerrard collects the half clearance and Diao pumps the ball back into a crowded box......

Gerrard lofts the ball into the box, Baros chases it and forces a dubious corner off Luzhny. A last chance for Liverpool?

...The ball comes in and Arsenal head it clear to Smicer. The Czech tries to Volley the ball back, Lauren stoops into the shot and the ref blows for high feet.

Liverpool win a corner. Hyypia comes up form the back and takes a position in front of Seaman.....

Baros forces a throw. The ball is lofted to the farside of the Arsenal box and Lauren blocks Smicer's volley.

Arsenal make a change. Luzhny, a defender, comes on for Bergkamp, a striker.

It should be Liverpool coming on strong in the final ten minutes of the game but Arsenal appear to have the match under control.

...The Brazilian makes an excellent connection and forces Dudek into a diving save.

Vieria finds acres of space, much to the disgust of the Anfield fans, and sets up Gilberto for a 20-yard drive......

Liverpool make their final change and Baros replaces Diouf.

Hyypia picks up the ball deep in Arsenal's half. The defender lofts the ball to Diouf, who hits a first time cross/shot that trickles back to Seaman.

Liverpool make a change and Diao comes on for Murphy.

Liverpool are becoming more and more frustrated as time ticks away and they can't get a touch of the ball.

Arsenal are taking control again. Vieira drives forward and plays the ball to Cole on the left. Cole cuts the ball into the area and Diouf is back defending for Liverpool.

Now it's Arsenal's turn to pass the ball around the whole team as the travelling fans 'ole' every touch.

Liverpool enjoying plenty of possession now but are doing nothing with it.

Smicer to Heskey. The striker flicks it left to Owen, who runs into three defenders on the edge of the area.

Liverpool build through the midfield. Carragher looks for a ball over the top for Murphy but it runs through to Seaman.
