   After a year of terrible PR Chelsea are pulling out all the stops today. The Chelsea team of 1955 are on the pitch with the old league trophy - they won the championship on the last day of the season away from home and never got to parade the trophy - 50 years on they do. Nice.

   The game turned out to be something of a secondary concern; Charlton worked hard and were deserving of a point. The penalty was grossly unfair; yes, there was contact, but it was outside the box. Still Makelele was deserving of a goal as it allowed his team-mates to show him their appreciation of his selfless work!
